About Critter Care

Pets are my passion and I couldn’t live without them! I have spent most of my life surrounded by animals. My parents owned German Shepherds and Cocker Spaniels while I was growing up and then had acquired all different kinds of pets including cats, love birds, an umbrella cockatoo, hamsters, fish, hamsters, horses, chickens and even a pig named Petunia and a duck named Donald. So naturally, I grew up a pet lover.

In November 1999, after leaving the entertainment industry working as an administrative assistant at the studios, I started my own pet sitting business called Critter Care. I provide house visits, dog park visits, daycare services, pet transportation, and overnight pet sitting services (in my home or yours) south of Los Angeles and the South Bay area.  I am also experienced in administering medications, (including but not limited to) subcutaneous fluids, working with pets with illnesses and disabilities, pets with separation anxiety, visual & hearing impairment, and rescued pets with lack of socialization skills.

I have provided numerous work hours at other doggy daycare facilities located in Manhattan Beach and El Segundo, CA as well as numerous hours of community service at local animal shelters and local pet rescue groups. I am an approved bottle foster feeder volunteer for City Shelters with previous volunteer experience at the South Los Angeles and Harbor Animal Shelters. I have also provided many hours working with pet rescue organizations, pet placement and have personally rescued animals off the streets and found them new, loving forever homes as well as fostering and bottle feeding newborn puppies and kittens in my own home.

I have appeared on “Good Day L.A.”‘s Adopt a Pet segment three times appearing with pets that I have personally rescued, in order for them to get more media exposure with the hopes of finding them new, forever homes.

I currently reside in Lawndale, CA and provide my pet sitting services 7 days a week in a comfortable home environment, with a large fenced in front yard. I own 3 senior cats (all were rescued from the Carson shelter) and 3 dogs: Olive, a 1 year old maltese-chihuahua that I picked up when she was a week old, and two new Maltese siblings named Thunder and Magic, born on June 9th, 2022.

Thunder and Magic, two siblings that I rescued in the summer of 2023. They were born on 6-9-22.

We picked up Olive to bottle feed her when she was just 1 week old on 12-28-19. She enjoys playing with tennis balls and loves her newly adopted brother and sister!
